Obituary	SHIRLEY B. PORTER BREWER - Shirley B. Porter. 69, formerly of 49 Hartland Ave., Pitts- field, died Seat. 25, 1993 at a Bangor hospital.She was born Dec. 31, 1923, in Dexter, the daughter of Charles and Doreen (Jones) Seavey. She was a graduate of Dexter High School and moved to Pittsfield in 1945. She was employed by H.C. Baxters Cannery of Corinna for several years and was lat- er employed by Northeast Shoe Co. of Pittsfield, retiring in 1982. She mar- ried Richard E. "Dick" Porter in 1982. She enjoyed showing horses and was president of the Penquis Riding Club for several years. She also enjoyed camping and fishing. She was a mem- ber of the Eagles Club No. 3177 and the Pomona Grange. Mrs. Porter was predeceased by a sister, Mary Cha- bot. Surviving are her husband, Rich- ard E. "Dick" Porter of Brewer; her son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Rqe Philbrick of Pittsfield; four step- children, Trudy Hinds of Hampden, Carol Perkins of Brewer, Steve Porter of Newburgh and David Porter of Ban- gor; four sisters, Dorothy Huff, Ser- etha Seavey, Mrs. Arthur (Ebbie) Chapman, and Mrs. Lane (Essie) Mountain, all of Dexter; two grand- sons, Brian and Steve Philbrick of Pittsfield; seven stepgrandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Friends may vis- it 6-8 p.m. Monday at Donald H. Shorey Funeral Chapel, 35 Hartland Ave.,Pittsfield,where a funeral ser- vice will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday.
