Obituary	VERNE HOLLIS Funeral services for Verne Hollis, 55, who died Saturday night at his home in the Garland road after more than a year's illness, were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home. The Rev. A. Allan Brough of the First Baptist Church officiated. Spring burial will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Dexter. He was born in Corinna, March 11, 1896, son of Frank and Mary (Potter) Hollis. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Marion Merrill, Greenwood Mountain, Me.; three brothers, Lionel of Dexter, Howard of Brewer and Felton of Bangor; three sisters, Mrs. Bernice Leonard, Plymouth, Mrs. Janet Amazeen, Ripley and Mrs. Josephine Thorne, Dover-Foxcroft; two grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
