Funeral services for Mrs. Mary J. Parkman were held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Parkman, Zion's Hill, Sunday forenoon at ten o'clock and the pastor of the Advent church, Rev. Mr. Gilbert of Corinna officiated. Mrs. Parkman was born in Skowhegan and had she lived until next February would have been ninty-three years of age. In early life she was united in marriage with Mr. William Parkman and to the couple eight children were born, five of whom are now living. Mrs. Martha J. Parkman of Exeter, Mrs. Josephine and Mrs. Susan Spooner of Dexter, Mrs. Luetta Crowell of Corinna and Mrs. C. B. Parkman of Dexter, who have the sympathy of many friends in this sorrow. Mrs. Parkman was devoted to the interests of the Advent church. She was an interesting conversationalist and a reader of latest magazines and well informed concerning current events. Her sewing and reading were delightful pastimes and her work in the former occupation will be treasured by her children. The interment was made at Morse's Corner in the Parkman family lot.
