Obituary
John Trefethen The remains of a Dexter citizen, Mr. John Trefethen, were brought to this town on Monday, from Winchester, Mass., where he had been visiting for the past few months at the home of his son, Charles Marsh, his sudden passing away being caused by pneumonia, from which he suffered only a few days. Mr. Trefethen was almost eighty-seven years of age, and with the exception of ten years during this period of time, he had lived on the well-known Trefethen farm home a few miles from town. He was a man of integrity, well liked by his many friends and acquaintances, and the news of his passing away will be learned with regret by all who had the privilege of his acquaintance. He leaves a wife, also a daughter, Mrs. Charles Marsh, as well as many other relatives, all of whom have the sympathy of friends in this sorrow. Memorial services occured Tuesday at the Trefethen home, and the pastor of the First Universalist church, Rev. Stanley Gates Spear, officiated. The interment was made in Exeter cemetery.
