Obituary
Mrs. Edith Gove Dexter people were shocked to learn of the sudden and unexpected passing away on Sunday evening of Mrs. Fred Gove. Mrs. Gove was apparently enjoying her usual good health on Sunday, dined with the family at the supper hour and later walking as far as the Exchange Hotel with her neice. On arriving at the walk leading to the Gove residence, Mr. Gove and his daughter, Miss Hazel, heard a call as of someone wishing assistance and rushing to the door found Mrs. Gove to be very ill and unable to reach the house unaided. A doctor was immediately summoned but all medical assistance was without any avail and the end soon came. Mrs. Gove was fifty one years of age and leaves a husband, Fred Gove, also two daughters, Miss Hazel of Dexter, Mrs. Grace Gove Morgan of Lynn, Mass., and one son, Guy Gove, a student at Bates College, who have the sympathy of the community in this loss, A lady of sterling character always kindly and thoughtful in her home circle and solicitous for the welfare of her many friends, she will be greatly missed. The funeral services were held at the Baptist church Wednesday forenoon, Rev. R. L. Olds officiating. A large delegation of the members of Martha Washington Rebekah lodge, of which the deceased was a member were present and the burial service of the order was carried out.
