Obituary
Death of Hiram Hatch Hiram Hatch, for many years a well-known resident of Dexter, died late Tuesday afternoon at the home of his daughter, Mrs. G. C. Ryan, on Pleasant street, where he has been making his home for the past few years. Mr. Hatch had not been in the best of health for several years and a few weeks ago he was badly injured by a fall. He has since been confined to the house and has gradually failed until the end came Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Hatch served as lst lieutenant of Company D, 22d Maine regiment, in the Civil war. At the close of the war he resumed his occupation, that of a carpenter and contractor. The greater part of his life has been spent in Dexter, although for several years he was a resident of California. He was a member of the lodge of Odd Fellows, in which fraternity he was deeply interested. Mr. Hatch was a man of sterling character and well esteemed Services in memory of Mr. Hatch will be held this afternoon at 2.30 o'clock. Much sympathy is extended to the bereaved family
