Obituary	Mrs. Catherine F. Haseltine Died in Ripley, Maine, August 20, Mrs. Catherine F. Haseltine, aged 85 years. Mrs. Haseltine was born in Harmony, April 16, 1832, daughter of James and Sara Laughton. At the age of nineteen she was united in marriage with Chester B. Jackson. They soon moved to the west, settling in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. To this union four children were born, two died in infancy, one daughter, Nettie, died when 25, and the son, Frank, who was a promising young lawyer, died at 26. Mr. Jackson, having passed away some years previous to this. Sometime in the early nineties Mrs. Jackson returned to her native state. In 1892, she was married to Joseph Haseltine of Dexter. She was a member of the Universalist church and of Dexter grange. She was a very in- teresting lady and leaves many close friends in Dexter and surrounding towns. Mrs. Haseltine again being left a widow, came to Ripley, where she lived the last eleven years of her life with her neice, Mrs. Edgar Jones. During these years she was a very remarkable woman, being able to take care of her room, sew, read, write and converse like a young person. On the 17 of July, she was taken suddenly ill with indigestion, being confined to her bed till death released her. Funeral services were held in the home, August 23. Rev. S. G. Spear officiating. There were many beautiful flowers. The interment was in Mainstream cemetery in Harmony.
