Obituary
OMAR C. GROVER Funeral services for Omar C. Grover, 55, who died Aug. 28 at the local hospital after a long illness, were held Friday afternoon at the home in Garland. The Rev. A. Allan Brough, pastor of the Dexter First Baptist Church, officiated. Bearers were Robert Thomas, Ernest Stone, Emery Adams and E. J. Peavey, all of Garland. Burial was in the West Garland cemetery. He was born in Dover-Foxcroft, Sept. 18, 1886, son of Fred C. and Minnie Starbird Grover. He had lived in Garland most of his life where he was engaged in farming. A member of Garland Grange, he was a veteran of World War I and a member of Jack Monroe Post, American Legion of Garland. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Rosie Preble Grover; a son, Charles E.; and his mother, Mrs. Minnie R. Grover, all of Garland; and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Sidelinger, of Monson.
