Obituary
EDWARD D. CLUKEY Edward D. Clukey, aged 74, died at his home Sunday night after a long illness. Funeral services will be held at the Holy Family Catholic Church Thursday at 9 a. m. with the Rev. Leo Cary officiating. Burial will be in the Sangerville village cemetery. He was born in Dexter, July 3, 1877, the son of Peter and Sylvia Baker Clukey, and lived there through his young manhood. He was employed as boss weaver in the North Dexter woolen mill. Mr. Clukey has been a resident of Sangerville for 47 years. He married twice, his first wife being Miss Maude Campbell. Of this marriage there were three sons and three daughters. Mr. Clukey's second wife was Miss Lillian Mae Crosby of Parkman. There is one son, Paul. During his 47 years in Sangerville, Mr. Clukey has been employed as boss weaver in the Old Town, Glencoe and Carleton mills. He was also a skilled carpenter and mason. During his later years he has been employed as janitor at the Sangerville High School building. He was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife; by three daughters, Mrs. Roy Clukey, of Sangerville, Mrs. William Ingalls of Abbot, Mrs. Ludger Higgins of Sangerville; an adopted daughter, Miss Betty Clukey; by four sons, Harold and Herman Clukey, both of Sangerville, Guy Clukey of Clinton, Paul Clukey of Sangerville; by 19 grandchildren; by 25 great grandchildren; by one brother, George Clukey, of Sangerville; an adopted sister, Mrs. Marguerite Green of Dover-Foxcroft.
