Obituary
Cecil H. Lawrence The many friends of Cecil H. Lawrence were saddened to learn of his untimely death, which occurred at his home on the Corinna road, Saturday, about 5 o'clock in the afternoon. Although he has been in poor health for several months, he but recently took his bed, suffering from Brights disease. Mr. Lawrence was born in Wellington, the son of Herbert and Ida (Bemis) Lawrence and was thirty-one years of age. He was married in 1907 to Miss Belle Campbell of this town who with two children survive him. He is also survived by his mother and one sister, Mrs. Ethel McKusick of this town. Mr. Lawrence came to this town about twenty years ago. He attended school a few years after which, he learned the printer's trade and was employed in the Gazette office about six years, be left the office several years ago and purchased a farm on the Corinna road where he resided at the time of his death. He was a mem- ber of the Methodist church and highly respected by all his associates. The funeral services were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon and were largely attended. Rev. A. B. McAlister, pastor of the church, officiated. The floral tributes were very beautiful and attested to the esteem in which he was held by his many friends. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community in their loss.
