MARTHA E. SPAULDING DEXTER AND DOVER-FOXCROFT, Martha E. Spaulding, 79, died February 12, 2004 at a Dover-Foxcroft hospital. She was born November 10, 1924, in Dexter, the daughter of Clyde and Rose (Folsom) Willard. Martha worked for several years at the Dexter Hardware. Later she owned and operated the M & M Variety in Dexter, and at the time of her retirement, was office manager at the Dexter Federal Credit Union. Martha was well known for her sewing and quilt making. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Dover-Foxcroft, the Miosac Club in Dover-Foxcroft, and was a volunteer at Mayo Regional Hospital. She is survived by her husband, Marshall Spaulding of Dover-Foxcroft; 4 children and their spouses, Dana and Mary Spaulding of Maryland, Bruce and Loanne Spaulding of Belfast, Carol Poulin of Topsham, Steven and Tina Spaulding of St. Albans; grandchildren, Kevin and his wife, Brenda Spaulding, Kathy and her husband, John Vargas, Mitchell Spaulding, Andrew and his wife, Katie Spaulding, Tony and his wife, Krista Poulin, Marc and his wife, Marcy Poulin, Danielle and her husband, Jason Stewart, David and his wife, Mikee Spaulding, Joseph, Briana, Alex and Caleb Spaulding. Great grandchildren, Megan, Marc, Maci, Mariah, Maranda, Tyeler, Emma, Rachel, Gabrielle and Aiden; sisters, Marilyn Olmsted of St. Albans, June and her husband Charles Kittridge of Orono, Roberta and her husband Raymond Olmsted of Pennsylvania, and Brenda and her husband Kenneth Lyons of Dexter. A memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday February 14, 2004 at the Church of the Nazarene on the Dexter Road in Dover-Foxcroft with Rev. Craig D. Taylor officiating. Graveside committal services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, June 26, 2004, at the Rural Grove Cemetery in Dover-Foxcroft with Rev. Craig D. Taylor officiating.
