Obituary	Frank Shaw Services were held on Sunday forenoon at 10 o'clock in memory of John Frank Shaw, whose death occurred at the Eastern Maine General Hospital last week, the remains being brought to Dexter Friday evening. Mr. Shaw was a private in Co. A, N.G. S. M. of Dexter and was the first to die of the local militiamen, who saw service on the Mexican border last summer. He was taken ill while in Texas and much of his time was spent in military hospitals. He returned to Dexter with the company last fall, and for a few weeks, seemed to improve in health, but a short time ago he suffered a relapse. As a militiaman he proved very efficient and was popular among the members of the company. Military honors were accorded the deceased at the services held on Sunday forenoon, it being the first military funeral held in this town since the Civil war times.
