Obituary
Sumner Warner The funeral of Sumner Warner, for many years a resident of Dexter, was held from the Baptist church, Wednesday afternoon at 4 o'clock. Mr. Warner left Dexter about nine years ago and since then has been residing in Bangor and in Kenduskeag with a niece. He also had an adopted son in that town. He will be well re- membered by people in Dexter, especially mill operatives, as he was employed in the Abbott Woolen Mills for over twenty-five years. Mr. Warner served in the Civil war during which time he was taken prisoner and confined in Libbey prison for some time. He was a member of H. F. Stafford Post, G. A. R., and was the second oldest member of Plymouth lodge, I. 0. 0. F., joining in 1871. In attendance at the funeral were several surviving members of H. F. Safford Post, G. A. R., and a delegation of Odd Fellows. The Rev. Geo. C. Sauer of the First Baptist church, con-ducted the funeral services, after which the burial service of the Odd Fellows was read. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
