Obituary	Mrs. Flora Carr The many friends of Mrs. Flora Carr are learning with regret of her sudden passing away on Sunday evening about nine o'clock at the home of her sister, Mrs. F. J. Gerry. Mrs. Gerry had gone to Town hall to attend the Peace services and had left her sister in excellent health. Later in the evening she was summoned from the hall, Mrs. Carr having been suddenly taken ill, and death resulted soon after the arrival of a physician. Flora Haskell Carr was born about fifty eight years ago in the town of Garland and during her girl hood and early womanhood resided in that town where she was respected and esteemed. In early life she was united in marriage to the late Warren Carr of Dexter, a business man of this town and here she has resided, winning for herself a host of friends who gave her their affections. She was prominent in the musical circles until failing health compelled her to relinquish an active life. She was an ardent and untiring church worker giving the best of her energies to the First Universalist church and also the work of the local W. T. C. U. In the late years she has been sadly missed in such circles and in the various departments of church work. Suffering from a shock a few years ago and for a time rendered almost helpless and made a shut-in she bore uncomplainingly her illness, and her cheerfulness was most remarkable She leaves a daughter, Miss Edna Carr of Dexter, also three sisters, Mrs. F. J. Gerry, Mrs. Carrie Foster of Dexter, Mrs. Holway of St. Albans, two brothers, John Haskell of Newton, Mass., and Edward Haskell of Wisconsin. Memorial services were held in the First Universalist church, Tuesday at 2 o'clock and the pastor of the church, the Rev. Stanley Gates Spear, officiated. The interment was made in Mount Pleasant cemetery, Dexter.
