Obituary
Mary Maxfield Banks Died at the home of her father, C. H. Maxfield of Dexter, July 17, Mary Maxfield Banks, age 29 years, two months and 15 days. Mrs. Banks came to Dexter from Boston the first of last January, ill with chronic Bright's disease, and, although the best of medical attention was given her, including treatment at the Eastern Maine General hospital, Bangor, the disease being so far advanced, recovery was impossible. She was a great sufferer for months, but bore up with wonderful courage to the very last, believing cure possible, which hope was shared by her devoted father. Mrs. Banks was of a cheerful and lovable disposition, which won her staunch friends among all that knew her. She was an only child and is survived by her father, her mother having died in Bangor in 1909. The funeral services, preceeded by prayers at the home of her father in Dexter, were held at the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Bickford, in North Belgrade, and were attended by a large number of relatives and friends of the deceased. Interment was made in the family lot at Woodside cemetery, Belgrade, Me. The sympathy of the community is extended to the relatives and friends of the deceased.
