Obituary	Miss Letha Currier The death of Miss Letha Currier, which took place at her cottage near the shore of Lake Wassookeag, occurred Sunday night, July 19. Miss Currier had been ill for the past two years with tuberculosis, and, although everything possible was done for her, the dread disease claimed its victim. Since a critical surgical operation of last winter, Miss Currier has been gradually failing until her death. She was a great sufferer, but was so hopeful and cheerful herself that she inspired others with hope for her recovery. Miss Currier was nearly eighteen years of age and had been a resident of Dexter all her life. She entered Dexter High school in the class of 1915, but was compelled, after one year's work, to give up her course on account of ill health. Since leaving school, she has spent a part of her time in Milo, where she received special medical treatment. Miss Currier was a member of the Free Baptist church, Sunday school, and the Y. P. S. C. E., connected with that organization, and she was an earnest worker in all, until failing health necessitated her retirement. She had many friends among young and old, her lovable, cheerful disposition and her beautiful character holding all she won. The funeral was held from the Dexter Free Baptist church Wednesday afternoon, Rev. Mr. Saunders of Dover officiating. The class of 1915 attended the services in a body, and four of her schoolmates were the bearers. The floral offerings were profuse and lovely. She leaves, besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis E. Currier, two sisters, Misses Elsie and Vina Currier, and one brother, Mr. George Currier.
