Obituary	The death of Mrs. Lizzie W. Davis occurred April 23 at Dexter, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. D. Akeley, on Spring street. Mrs. Davis was aged 86 years, 7 months and 22 days. She was born at Norridgewock, and has lived at Dexter for many years. Her husband, Horace Davis, died forty-one years ago, leaving her with four daughters, who are living to mourn their loss, and whose pleasure it has been to help and comfort their mother in her declining years. These are Mrs. Frank Coe of Atkinson, Mrs. Charles Stewart of Guilford, and Mrs. A. D. Akeley and Miss Ella Davis of Dexter. Mrs. Davis has been nearly a life-long member of the Methodist church, faithful and true in all her relations to it. She was unselfish in performance of duty, and kind to all. It may be said of her, "Servant of God, well done." In the absence of her pastor, the funeral services were conducted by Rev. W. N. Boaz of the Congregational church. His tender words of sympathy and guidance were greatly appreciated. There were many floral tributes. The remains were placed in the tomb at Dexter, to be buried later at Garland.
