Obituary
Death of Fred Harris Fred Harris, a member of the senior class at the High school and who has made his home with Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. McKenney on Church street, died Thursday evening, following an illness of several months' duration. The deceased was born in the town of Turner but for the past several years has resided here, first with the family of Ernest Farrar and for the past few years with Mr. and Mrs. McKenney. In school he was a bright scholar and was popular among fellow students and teachers. Several weeks ago he was obliged to give up his school work but he was confident that he would soon be able to resume his studies and graduate with his class in June. His untiring ambition to obtain an education to make a place for himself in the world won the admiration of those who knew him. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal church, Rev. H. A. Sherman officiating.
