Having learned the painter's trade he soon afterward went to Haverhill, Mass., where he had been a resident for nearly fifty years, the last twenty-eight years being engaged in business for himself. Failing health compelled him to retire four years ago. Mr. Quimby had been for many years a member of Mizpah Lodge, I. 0. 0. F., and Eagle Encampment, also of Palestine Lodge, K. of P. He had been twice married. A wife and daughter survive him, also two brothers, Edwin C., of Somerville, Mass. and Charles L. of Exeter, Me. Services were conducted at his late home by Post 47, G. A. R., and interment was in Elmwood cemetery, in Bradford.
