Obituary
MRS. EDITH FANJOY Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Crosby Funeral Home for Mrs. Edith Fanjoy, 69, who died Monday at the local hospital after several months of ill health. Interment was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. She was born in Glenburn, Oct. 20, 1881, daughter of the Rev. William L. and Alice Brown Bamber, but had spent the greater part of her life in this town. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. Joseph Budvits, Hyde Park, Mass., Mrs. Maurice Provost, Mrs. Louis Chabot, Mrs. Joseph Chabot, all of Dexter, and Mrs. Matthew Croft of Malden, Mass.; two sons, Stanley and Sidney, both of Dexter; two sisters, Miss Maude A. Brown, Mrs. James Nisbet, both of Dexter; three brothers, Leslie Brown, Milton, N. H., Lloyd Brown of Rochester, N. H., Donald Bamber of Bangor; 20 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Bowman of the Methodist Church officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. The bearers, all grandsons of the deceased, were Richard, Maurice, Clifford and Shirley Provost of Dexter, Roy Provost of Augusta, and Theron Ramsdell of Dexter. Mrs. Fanjoy was born in Glenburn, Oct. 20, 1881, the daughter of the Rev. William L.Brown and Alice Brown Bamber. Those attending the services from out-of-town were: Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Budvits, Jamaica Plain, Mass., Mr. and Mrs. Mathew Croft of Malden, Mass, Mr. and Mrs. Leslie M. Brown, Milton, N. H., Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd E. Brown, Sr., of Rochester, N. H., Donald R. Bamber, Sr., and sons, Rexford and Lawrence, and Elwood Thomas, all of Bangor. (The Eastern Gazette 4-19-1951, p.2)
