Obituary
Mr. Charles E. Beal The funeral of Mr. Charles E. Beal was held from the Baptist church of Dexter, at 2 p. m., Wednesday. The sermon was preached by the pastor, Rev. R. L. Olds and music was furnished by the choir. There was a large attendance of relatives and friends. Mr. Beal was highly respected by all who knew him and had many friends in this town and many others. For many years Mr. Beal has worked at Kineo in the summer, taking charge of a painting crew. Mr. Beal was born in Greene fifty years ago the eighth of last July. He was the son of Charles B. and Mary E. Beal and his mother still lives although in very por health, not being able to attend the funeral service. His father was a veteran of the Civil War and died two years ago at the advanced age of eighty-four years. Relatives from out of town were his three sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Solomon of Auburn, Mr. and Mrs. Abram Burgess of Gardiner, Mrs. Mary Rix of Auburn; granddaughter and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Smith of Harmony. Brother-in-law of the de- ceased, Mr. Warren Johnson of Abbott and Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Gower of Garland, friends of the family. There were many floral tributes.
