Obituary
Mrs. Samuel Eldridge Mrs. Samuel Eldridge passed away suddenly at her home on Free street, Tuesday evening, heart failure and complications being the cause of death. Mrs. Eldridge was born in Canaan, Maine and has she lived until October one of the present year would have been seventy-five years of age. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison T. Norton, a well known family of the town and she was among the oldest of a large family of children. She was united in marriage to the late Samuel Eldridge and to them two children were born, Mrs. Fred Herrick, of Dexter and Harold N. Eldridge, Esq., of Northport, Long Island. She was prominent in te work of the Women's Literary Club and was a member of that organization. A communicant of the First Universalist church, she was interested in all its departments. A devoted mother, esteemed and beloved by a host of friends she will be greatly missed by a large circle of persons. She was possessed of a kindly thoughtful Christian nature and character and her constant aim has been to maintan high standards and live for the best in life. Mrs. Eldridge leaves to mourn loss, a son, H. N. Eldridge, Esq. Northport, L. I., a daughter, Mrs. Fred Herrick of Dexter, a step daughter, Miss Helen Eldridge of Bangor, a sister, Mrs. Henry Moore of Lawrence, Kansas, who have the sympathy of Dexter people in this sorrow. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home.
