Obituary
J. Alfred Blake The death of J. Alfred Blake occurred at his home in Dexter, Tuesday morning, Nov. 12, a few minutes after midnight, following an illness of about four years. In 1914, Mr. Blake suffered a shock and has been in failing health since that time. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gancelo Blake and was born sixty three years ago in Dexter and has always made his home here. On March 22, 1876, he was united in marriage with Miss Abbie B. King and to the union was born one son, Harry Blake of Bridgewater, Mass. Mr. Blake was a member of Plymouth lodge, I. 0. 0. F., and was a man respected by all who knew him. Besides his widow and son, he is survived by four brothers, Willis B. of Exeter, Otis G. of Fox- croft, Frank D. of Sangerville and Edwin F. of Framingham, Mass., also a sister, Mrs. Eldora Atwater of Dexter, and a half-sister, Mrs. Dorothy A. Neal of Exeter. Funeral services were held at the home Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, Rev. F. Ernest Smith of the Methodist church officiating.
