Obituary
George E. Flanagan Old residents of Dexter will be interested to learn of the death of George E. Flanagan, which occurred at his home in Altoona recently. Following is the obituary notice which appeared in the Altoona papers. George Edward Flanagan, a well known citizen of the city and a resident of the sixth ward, died at noon, March 23, of a complication of diseases after an illness of several months. Deceased was the son of Bernard C. and Margaret Rock Flanagan, both deceased, and was born at Dexter, Maine, on April 5, 1853. He was unmarried, had resided in this city for some years and made his home with his brother, Bernard W. Flanagan, of 511 Eighteenth street. He was employed by the Pennslyvania Railroad company, his last position being that of a watchman in the Twelfth street shops. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic church and the Young Men's Institute and is survived by two brothers, Bernard W. and John H. Flanagan of this city.
