Obituary
Mrs. Druscilla Swanton The many friends of Mrs. Druscilla Coakley Swanton, will learn with regret of her passing away which occurred on Sunday. Mrs. Swanton was born in New Brunswick, where she lived until about nineteen years of age, thence coming to Dexter, later becoming the bride of Seth Swanton. Mrs. Swanton was a valued member of the Hiram F. Safford Relief Corps, also the Pythian Sisters of Dexter, and while a partici- pant in the general activities life, was devoted to the welfare and interests of the Methodist church. Mr. Swanton passed away a few years ago. Six children survive, Owen Swanton of Portland, Mrs. Elizabeth Swanton Robinson of Dexter, Messrs. Eugene and Wallace Swanton, Miss Myrtie Swanton, also of this town, and Forest Swanton, employed in the Portsmouth Navy Yard, New Hampshire. Funeral services were held at the home of the family on Church street, Wednesday. The pastor of the Methodist church, the Rev. F. Ernest Smith, officiating, and the interment was made in Mount Pleasant cemetery, Dexter. The burial services of the Woman's Relief Corps were read by the officer of that organization. It is hoped by the family that.rWall Other members of the family include three brothers, Dr. J. W. Coakley, John Archibald and Wallace, all of Iowa, and a sister, Mrs. Martha Morrison, also of Iowa.
