Obituary	Mrs. Elizabeth Carr Mrs. Elizabeth Carr died Sunday morning, March 14, after a long and lingering illness, having been tenderly cared for by her daughter, Mrs. Cobb, where she has made her home for the past eight years. Had she lived until July 13, she would have been 88 years of age. Mrs. Carr was twice married, her first husband being Pinkham Moore, who died 51 years ago. She was the mother of six children by her first marriage, Charles E. Moore, Winthrope, Maine, Mrs. Sarah Cobb, Frank E, Samuel E. Moore, Mrs. Ellen Hayes, Dexter, and Mary E. Wing, now deceased. She has only one son by her second marriage to Richard Carr, Ernest E, now in the Phillipine Islands. Mrs. Carr was born in Readfield, Maine, and was the daughter of Samuel and Elizabeth Eldridge, her parents coming to Dexter when she was four years of age. She is the last of a family of six children, one sister, Mrs. Lovina Abbott, William S., Benjamin F., Samuel Eldridge and Charles, who died at sea. She was a member of the Free Baptist church, was always interested in all good works. She was broad minded and a great reader. She was a loving Christian mother and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Funeral services were held from the home of Mrs. Sarah Cobb on Free street, Wednesday morning, Rev. Chester N. Doe, pastor of the Free Baptist church, officiating. The services were attended by many relatives and friends of the deceased and the floral offerings were profuse and beautiful, bearing silent testimony to the high esteem in which the deceased was held. The remains were placed in the receiving tomb at Mount Pleasant cemetery.
