Obituary	Mrs. R. L. Olds The many friends of Rev. and Mrs. R. L. Olds and family are learning with deep sympathy of the passing away of Mrs. Olds at the Baptist parsonage on Free street Saturday afternoon at four o'clock, after an illness of several weeks' duration during which period she was frequently a great sufferer. Her passing away was entirely unexpected to the family and came as a great shock to them. Mattie Erskine Olds was born at Sublette, Ill., February 22, 1850, and her parents were Horatio and Rebecca Erskine. She was united in marriage in early life to the Rev. Rinaldo L. Olds at Mendota, Ill. She has also lived in Dover, N. H., Ludlow, Newport and East Pawlet, Vt., Bluehill and Dexter, Maine. She was the mother of four children, Raymond L., Edith M., Lawrence E., and Marshall K. Olds, two of whom, Miss Edith of Dexter and Marshall Olds of Bluehill are living. During her illness Mrs. Olds was cheerful, optimistic and patient in her suffering. She was untringly and lovingly cared for by her daughter and husband. Mrs. Olds was a faithful, earnest worker in the First Baptist Church and Mission circle in Dexter. The memoral services took place on Thursday morning at ten o'clock at the Baptist church, and the remains were placed in the receiving tomb, Mount Pleasant cemetery.
