Obituary	Oringe Jewett Oringe Jewett of this town died this morning, at the home of his son, Fred Jewett, Orchard street. Mr. Jewett has been a life-long resident of this vicinity and was highly respected. (also 2-28-1928, p.5) The funeral services for the late Oringe Jewett, one of the town's oldest residents, were held on Saturday afternoon at the residence of Fred Jewett, at 2 o'clock. The pastor of the Dexter Methodist church, Rev. A. B. McAlister, officiated, and the internment will eventually be made in the Jewett family lot, Mount Pleasent cemetery. Had he lived until next December, Mr. Jewett would have been eighty-nine years of age. Until failing health compelled him to retire from active life, he carried on his farm, being successful in his undertakings in this line of work. With the passing away of Mrs. Jewett, he came to the home of his son, Fred Jewett, where he has since resided. He was a communicant of the Methodist church, Dexter, and a constant attendant at the services, always taking an active part. Mr. Jewett leaves a son, Fred Jewett, and several grandchildren.
