Obituary
Delmont Brown The death of Delmont Brown occurred Monday, Feb. 11, at the home of his son, A. D. Brown, on Main street a brief illness. Mr. Brown suffered a severe shock Sunday and failed steadily until the end came. The deceased was the son of Joseph and Lucy Brown of Athens. He was engaged in farming the greater part of his life, but has made his home with his son for the past few years. He is survived by three brothers, John, Fred and William Brown and two sisters, Mrs. Longley of Waterville and Mrs. Avery of Norridgewock and five children, A. D. Brown of Dexter, Mrs. Fred Williams of Skowhegan, Mrs. Perry Carson of Madison, Mrs. M. McDonald of Ripley and Mrs. Chas. Weymouth of Pittsfield. He was sixty eight years of age. Funeral services were held from the home of his son on Main street, Wednesday forenoon at ten o'clock, Rev. A. B. McAlister of the Metho-dist church officiating. The remains were placed in the receiving tomb at Mount Pleasant cemetery.
