Obituary	Walter Gilbert Friends of Walter Gilbert, for many years a resident of this town will be saddened to learn of his death which occurred Wednesday night at 11. p. m. It was not wholly unexpected as the doctors had given no hope of his recovery. However, friends and relatives did not look for the end quite so soon. Funeral services will be held from the home Friday morning at 10 o'clock. Rev. H. L. Mcenzie of the Congregational church will officiate. No flowers. Mr. Gilbert leaves to mourn his loss, besides his widow, a son, Dr. Walter Gilbert of Calais, one brother, W. L. Gilbert of Auburn, and three sisters, Mrs. D. G. Watson, Arlington, Mass., Mrs. Eva Gulliver, West Medford, Mass., Mrs. Georgia Smith, Auburn, who have the sym- pathy of the community in their sorrow. He was a member of H. F. Safford Post G. A. R.
