Obituary
Winifred Tasker Hooper The friends of Mrs. Winifred Tasker Hooper were shocked to learn of her sudden passing away at Chicopee Falls, Mass., on Thursday of last week, funeral services being held on Friday at the Hooper home and the remains brought to Dexter on Saturday evening. Prayer was offered in Dexter Sunday, after which the interment was made in Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Dexter. Mrs. Hooper had lived in Dexter the greater part of her life and was an earnest Christian worker in this community until her marriage when she went to Chicopee Falls to reside. She was a graduate of Dexter High school, class of 1907, having the highest honors. The next fall she entered Bates college and graduated with high honors. She was a young woman of exceptional ability and her pleasing personality, her loyalty to friends and her earnest desire to advance the cause of Christianity won for her a host of friends. After graduating from Bates college she accepted a position as teacher of Latin in Dexter High school. She was an elocutionist of attainment and ability and had a large class in elocution in Chicopee Falls. Her age was about 28 years, and she leaves a husband, who was principal of Chicopee High school, and mother, Mrs. Gracia Tas- ker also an aunt, Miss Annie Files. The family have the deepest sympathy of all.
