Obituary	News has been received here of the death at Attleboro, Mass., of Francis E. Swanton, a native of Dexter. He died Monday after an illness of two years from a complication of diseases. The deceased was born in Dexter, the son of H. G. and Elizabeth Swanton. He lived here until young manhood when he went to Houlton and learned the tinsmith's trade with his brother, John Z. Swanton, afterwards returning to Dexter where he was employed by the late Cyrus Foss for several years. Thrty-five years ago he went to Massachusetts where he has since made his home. He is survived by a widow and six children, four daughters, Mrs. Frank Nerney, Mrs. Roger Wilson, Mrs. Roy Hollis and Miss Frances Swanton and two sons, Harold and Archie Swanton. Four sisters also survive him. Mrs. Henry P. Dexter, Mrs. Catherine Chase of Portland and Mrs. Georgia Drew of Gulford. There are also three grandchildren and several nephews and neices to mourn their loss. Funeral services will be held at Attleboro, Thursday and interment will be in Massachusetts.
