Obituary
Cecil Littlefield Dexter people were saddened to learn of the death of Cecil Littlefield which occurred at his home Tuesday morning about 1 o'clock. He had been ill for the past several months but his passing was the direct result of a shock of the brain which he suffered Saturday from which he did not regain consciousness. He leaves a wife, Annie Spooner Littlefield, one brother and three sisters who reside in Massachusetts, to whom the entire community extends heartfelt sympathy. Mr. Littlefield was the son of Junius and Sophia (Trefethen) Littlefield and was fifty-two years of age. He was born in Milwaukee, Wis., but came to Dexter when one month old and has practically lived all his lifetime in this town, having since his marriage thirty-two years ago made his home in that part of the town known as Spooner's Mills, where he has carried on a prosperous farm. For the past few years he had employment at the Fay and Scott machine shops where he was well liked and highly respected among his many shopmates and he was a man whose integrity and upright living won for him many true friends. He was a prominent member of Dexter Grange P. of H. Interment will be made in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant cemetery where the only son, Jasper, was laid to rest nine years ago. Funeral services were held this afternoon, Rev. E. M. Trafton of the Free Baptist church officiating.
