Obituary
Robert Caswell The death of Robert Caswell, for many years a well known resident of Dexter, occurred at his home on Spring street at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, after a short illness from pneumonia. The deceased was born in Ireland about 73 ago and when a young man came to this country, finally settling in Dexter, where he had resided for many years and where he had been employed as fireman and engineer in woolen mills. Besides a widow the deceased is survived by two sons, Andrew L. Caswell of Bangor, special agent for the Bangor & Aroostook railroad, and John J. Caswell of the Eastern Trust & Banking Co., also two daughters, Mrs. Ernest Thompson and Mrs. Jules Pease. Funeral services were conducted from the home on Spring street, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Mr. Fowler of Portland officiating. The services were private. The bearers were Messrs. Freeman D. Dearth, Nathan Daggett, William E. Brewster and George L. Morrison. The remains were placed in the receiving tomb at Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
