Obituary	Jonathan Thompson The many friends of Jonathan Thompson will be saddened to learn of his death which took place at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Minnie Marsh, Free street, after a brief illness from grip and pneumonia. Mr. Thompson was seventy-nine years of age and was a well-known and highly respected resident of this town. A man devoted to his family and friends and possessed of sterling character he will be greatly missed not only in his home circle but by many persons who had the privilege of his acquaintance. He was born in Frederickton, N. B., but for 50 years or more has been a resident of this town. He is survived by two sons, Ernest and William Thompson, by four daughters, Mrs. Charles Marsh, Mrs. Samuel Dearborn and Mrs. William Babcock of this town, and Mrs. Sadie Townsend of Madison; also by one brother, William Thompson of Dexter. Funeral services were conducted from the home of Charles Marsh on Free street, Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Stanley Gates Spear, pastor of the First Universalist church officiating. The bearers were Charles H. Fish, W. D. Austin, Frank LeBarce and George Crocker.
