Obituary
Asa Shaw Asa Shaw, for many years a well known resident of Dexter, died at his home on Spring street Friday afternoon, following a shock of paralysis. Early Friday afternoon Everett H. Bragdon had occasion to visit Mr. Shaw's workshop over Howard's garage on Grove street where he found him prostrate on a work bench. Mr. Shaw was removed to his home on Spring street where his death occurred later in the afternoon. For many years the deceased has conducted a business of saw filing and general repairing, being located for a long time on Maine street, moving to Grove street quarters several years ago. He was about 70 years of age and is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Sadie Ginn, and two sisters, Misses Ellen and Julia Shaw of Spring street with whom he lived and by a granddaughter, Miss Elva Boynton. Funeral services were held at the Universalist church Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. S. G. Spear officiating.
