Obituary
Nancy Hill The death of Mrs. Nancy (Butters)Hill, widow of Elijah C. Hill, occurred Friday morning, June 13, at the late home in Exeter, where she was born 75 years ago, and where she was married to Elijah C. Hill in 1861. Six children were born to them, four daughters and two sons. Two daugh-ters, Annie and Helen, dying several years ago. She leaves to mourn her death two daughters, Mrs. Walter Bryant of Dexter and Mrs. Fred Otis of Garland; two sons, Byron E. and Vernon B. of Exeter, besides nine grandchildren, Bernice Brown, Walter Bryant, Jr., Lorin and Lester Bus- well, Gladys Titcomb, Earl and Guy Cheney, Mary Allen and Dana Brockway. She was loved by hosts of friends for her splendid traits of character and her sunny, lovable disposition. She always had a kind word for everybody and held out the helping hand. She was a woman devoted to her family and home. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from her home, Rev. F. E. Smith from Dexter of the Methodist church officiating. There was a large gathering of relatives and friends. The choir consisted of Edna McLaughlin, Georgia Holbrook and Clara Eddy. F. W. Hill managed the funeral. The bearers were C. R. Buswell, E. E. Buxton, Willis Crowell and Carl Smith. There were many beautiful flowers, giving their silent sympathy.
