Obituary	MRS. LETTIE JANE WHITNEY Mrs. Lettie Jane Whitney, 66, died suddenly Tuesday night, Oct. 31, in St. Petersburg, Fla. Funeral services were held Saturday at a funeral parlor at South Royalton. The wife of Hollis Whitney of Exeter, she had formerly lived in North Newport. She was born in Stetson, Sept. 3, 1884, daughter of Howard and Georgianna Cook, but had lived the greater part of her life in North Newport. Mrs. Whitney was a member of the North Newport Grange and Farm Bureau and also the Willing Workers. Surviving are two sons, George and Warren, both of Newport; a daughter; Mrs. Ruth Nutter, Putnam, Conn.; two sisters, Mrs. Maude Perkins, New Sharon, and Mrs. Louise Bartlett, St. Petersburg, Fla.; 10 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
