Obituary	Alphomo Chase The death of Alphomo Chase ocurred last Thursday evening at the home of his son, Ernest Chase, Church street, where he had been visiting for a few weeks. Mr. Chase, who was a native of Newport, where he resided for many years, was a veteran of the Civil war, serving in the 7th Kansas cavalry and was 81 years of age. For some years past he has made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Fred Reid, in Portland. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the home of his son, Ernest. A delegation of Plymouth lodge, of Odd Fellows was present and conducted part of the services. The remains were taken to Newport for burial.
