Jacob Mason Funeral services for the late Jacob Mason were conducted Friday afternoon at 1 o’clock from the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ethel Edgerly, at Brockway's Mills, where his death occurred Tuesday, July 27, after an illness of 18 months following a shock of paralysis. The services were under the auspices of Penobscot lodge of this town of which the deceased was a member. Mr. Mason was a man who was highly respected, lived the greater part of his life at French's Mills selling his farm several years ago because of failing health. Following the sale of the farm he lived in this town and later went to Brockway's Mills, where he has since resided at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edgerly. Besides a widow he is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Shaw, of this town, Mrs. Mabel Luce, of North Dexter and Mrs. Ethel Edgerly, of Brockway's Mills and a son, Harry Mason, of this town. Two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Hayden and Mrs. Emma Loud, both of Bangor, also survive.
