Obituary	GEORGE F. LEIGHTON Funeral services for George Frank Leighton, 79, who died Friday night at his Cedar street home were conducted at the home Monday afternoon by the Rev. Theodore A. Webb of the First Universalist Church, and by members of Plymouth Lodge No. 65, IOOF. The following neighbors acted as bearers: Albert Baskett, Eustace Clukey, Joseph Chevery, Benjamin Daigle, Fernald Goulette and Donald Gilbert. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. He was born in Cambridge, Jan. 3, 1871. In October 1898 he came to Dexter to serve as an apprentice at Fay & Scott Machine Shop, remaining in their employ until his retirement in 1946 because of poor health. He was a member of the knights of Pythias and Plymouth Lodge No. 65 IOOF. In 1904 he married Myrtie E. Merryman, who survives.
