Obituary	EUGENE V. FIELD Funeral services for Eugene V. Field, 86, were held at the residence in Garland Sunday afternoon with the Rev. Samuel Bowman of the Dexter Methodist Church officiating. The remains were taken to Caribou, where committal services were held Monday afternoon in Evergreen cemetery. Mr. Field died last Friday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Edith Thomas, following several weeks' illness. He was born in Garland June 8, 1864, son of George S. and Sarar (Jackman) Field. He lived in Caribou for many years, returning to Garland 35 years ago. He was a member of the Dexter Methodist Church. Surviving are four sons, Grover and Fayette, both of Dexter, Aaron of Dead River and Gordon of Garland; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Thomas, with whom he lived, and Miss Mary Field of New Hampshire.
