Obituary
Death of Joseph King Joseph King, a respected and well known resident of this town, died Saturday at his home on Free street, following an illness of several weeks at the age of 74 years. The deceased was practically a life-long resident of this town, his birthplace being Parkman and coming to Dexter to reside when a boy. Mr. King was for many years employed as an engineer at the mills of the Amos Abbott Co. Following the completion of his work at the mill, he was, for several years, in charge of the heating of several of the business blocks on Main street. He was a member of Plymouth lodge of Odd Fellows. Besides a daughter, Mrs. Ira Merrill, the surviving relatives are two sisters Mrs. Abbie Blake of this town and Mrs. E. G. Robinson of Gardiner. Funeral services were held from the home at 2 o'clock Tuesday. A large delegation of Odd Fellows being present, as well as many neighbors and friends. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
