Obituary
Funeral of A. W. Hopkins Funeral services for the late An- drew W. Hopkins, veteran of the Civil war and respected resident of this town, were conducted from the home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Clarence V. Cross, pastor of the Con- gregational church officiating. Many friends and neighbors attended the service. A delegation of members from Edward J. Poulliot Post, American Legion served as. bearers and another delegation of Legion members from the post at Bingham of which a son of the deceased, Dr. Hopkins, is a member, attended the service and escorted the remains to Mount Pleasant cemetery where in- terment took place. The death of Mr. Hopkins takes another of the few re- maining veterans of the Civil war from this town. He is survived by three sons, Shepherd Hopkins of Ripley, Bradley Hopkins of this town and Dr. Hopkins of Bingham.
