Obituary
Phyllis I. Wright Phyllis I. Wright passed away at the home of her brother, Ed. Wright, of Madison late Sunday afternoon after a long illness with consumption. Miss Wright was born in Pittsfield December 13, 1895, and was the daughter of Charles Edward and the late Abbie J. Wright. She received her education in the Dexter public schools and after graduating from the High school entered the Eastern Maine Bangor hospital to train for a nurse, but was obliged to give it up on account of poor health. Several years ago she went to Madison and made her home with her brother and wife. She accepted a position in the telephone office and by her courteous manner she made many friends. Again about one and a half years ago her health failed. She entered first the Fairfield sanitorium and was later transferred to Greenwood Mountain sanitorium at Hebron. In spite of all the care and medical skill she continued to fail and was anxious to go home. Several weeks ago she was brought to Madison to her brother's home, where she had most excellent care but to no avail and she failed steadily until the end. She bore her troubles patiently and with great fortitude. She is survived by her father, C. E. Wright, of Waterville, three sisters, Mrs. Charles Eldridge of Roslindale, Mass., Mrs. Stanley Field of Dexter, and Mrs. Harry Dexter of Bangor, also two brothers, Ed with whom she made her home and John, both of Madison. The funeral services were held from her late home Tuesday afternoon.
