Obituary	Elvira S. Lane News has been received here of the death of Mrs. Elvira S. Lane, widow of William N. Lane, former residents of this town. Mrs. Lane’s age was 81 years and four days. She is survived by a son, Clarence Ernest Lane, and three grandsons of Northport, Wash., also two sisters, Mrs. N. J. Herring of Dexter and Mrs. Mary F. Davis of Bridgeport, Conn., and a brother, Charles Fred Parshley, of Santa Cruz, Cal. Elvira Lane Mrs. Elvira Lane, aged 86 years, who died early Friday morning, at her home in Bangor, was a native of Dexter, going to Bangor about 35 years ago. Her husband, Jotham Lane, died some years ago. Ninety-six direct descendants survive, including 41 grandchildren, 44 great- grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and nine of her own children, as follows: Bonaparte and Alphonso of Bangor; Heber of Fort Fairfield; James of Hudson; Mrs. Rose Leaman of Townsend, Mass.; Mrs. Estelle E. Maxfield and Mrs. Gustavus W. Smith of Bangor and Mrs. Fred Wilkinson of Bar Harbor.
