Obituary	Charles Burgess (see also 5-19-1921) The death of Charles Burgess, one of the older residents of Dexter, occurred at his home on lower Main street this morning from heart failure. Mr. Burgess had been in poor health for some months past. He was for many years employed in the mills of Amos Abbott Co. He leaves one daughter, Mrs. Walter Small, with whom he made his home. Funeral arrangements have not been announced yet. (5-19-1921, p.5) The funeral of Charles Burgess was held from the Universalist church on Saturday, Rev. B. F. McIntire, pastor of the church officiating. There was a large attendance of Masons of Penobscot lodge of which the deceased had long been a member and the Masonic burial service was read at the church. The bearers also were from the Masonic order.
