Charles M. Russell Funeral services of Charles M. Russell were conducted from his home on Spring street Sunday morning at 9 o'clock. The services were largely attended by friends, neighbors and fel-low employes at the Fay & Scott machine shops. There was a profusion of handsome floral tributes. Rev. Mr. Cross, pastor of the Congregational church, officiated and brief services were carried out at the house by mem-bers of Penobscot Lodge, F. and A. M. of which the deceased was a valued member. There was a large delegation of Masons present and 35 or more accompanied the remains to Garland, where burial was at Evergreen cemetery, the Masonic committal service being carried out. The bearers were from Penobscot lodge, Joseph Burnard, William H. Dearborn, George M. Slater and Calvin Fassett. (combined with 4-28-1921, p.8) Charles M. Russell The sudden death of Charles M. Russell, which occurred this forenoon, came as a shock to his many friends in Dexter. Mr. Russell entered the hospital a few days ago to undergo an operation for hernia and following the operation was apparently getting along nicely until within a short time before his death. He leaves a wife and one son, Charles M., Jr., who have the sympathy of the entire community. For many years he was a valued em- ployee at the Fay & Scott machine shops, where he had a responsible position.
