Mr. Page, who was one of the oldest railway mail clerks in point of service in Maine, was appointed in 1889 to the Greenville and Bangor route, were he served for one year and was transferred to the Bangor and Boston run. At the conclusion of his duties on the latter run he was changed to the Vanceboro and Bangor run which position he held until he retired under the pension act last January. Besides his widow he is survived by a sister, Mrs. Amelia Gilbert of this town. Mr. Page was one of the oldest members of the Dexter club of this town; also of Penobscot lodge, F. & A. M. of this town and of DeMolay Commandery, Knights Templars of Skowhegan. Funeral services were held from the home on Main street at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon. Rev. William H. Gould of Livermore Falls, for many years pastor of the Universalist church in this town, officiated, and the services were attended by many friends of the deceased. There was a great profusion of handsome flowers from family and friends. The bearers were three nephews, Frank Page, Albion R. Page and Jerry Page, Peter S. Plouff, Frank L. Worthen and William E.
