Obituary
Elias Dean Elias Dean passed away December 24, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Plumer Mower on Highland Avenue where he has made his home for the past fifteen years. The funeral took place on Wednesday of last week. Rev. F. Ernest Smith spoke words of comfort to the bereaved ones. Those who bore him to his last resting place were, T. O. Additon, Jasen Denslow, Wilbur Gerry and Adrian Robinson. Mr. Dean was a man of quiet demeanor but pleasant and agreeable dispositions and many friends during his stay in Dexter. He was born in the town of Barnard eighty-seven years ago where he spent much of his young life. He was united in marriage with Louise Green. Two children were born of this union, John Dean of Dover-Foxcroft, who died two years ago, and Mrs. Mower, with whom he spent his last days. being tenderly cared for during his last illness. Those left to mourn his death one daughter, Mrs. Mower; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Hattie Dean of Guilford; four granddaughters, Mrs. Flossie Livermower, Mrs. Ethel Ames of Sebec; Mrs. Sfa Small of Guilford; Miss Pluma Mower of Millinocket. There are seven great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
